No significant milestones here. I just thought these little pj's from our friends in China were adorable. Nicole and Andrew - Doh je!

Mmm - Peas and Squash
The first solids came at 6 months. Ian was a pro with rice cereal in no time - such a good eater. Sofia, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on. Hurry up, Mom. I have more important things to do. Practice makes perfect though, and after a couple of weeks Sofia's right up there with her brother. I'm convinced now that it was the peas she didn't like. But squash? Now we're talkin'!
Pearly Whites
6 months:
Ouch! Recently, while Sofia was chewing Aunt Megan's hand, Aunt Megan discovered something sharp in Sofia's mouth. Could it be? A tooth! And what's this? Ian has one too! Come to find out at a doctor's check up yesterday, Sofia actually has two little teeth breaking through. Ian has one. No wonder they've been a bit cranky lately...

Rolling and Scooting and Crawling, Oh My!
At 6 1/2 months it's official - our babies are crawling! Another sign of growing up. Nathan and I can't help but feel a tiny bit sad, but are also so proud. Sofia was first. She looks so cute, such a tiny little thing, moving so quickly! Ian mostly tummy scoots, but watch out - he's quick too!

Father's Day Weekend '07
My first Father's Day was great. We had a very busy weekend. Went to Columbus on Friday for a wedding. On Saturday, Ashley stayed with the kids and visited with family while I went to Omaha for the College World Series. A few friends and I make the CWS and annual event. Good times.
The kids got me a framed picture of them for my desk. We spent the day with family. Lunch at Travis & Sara's, the afternoon with my parents. Some pics from the day are below.
The kids are getting closer and closer to crawling. Sofia has also gone from her hands and knees to her bottom. Any day now... Not sure that we want them crawling yet; the house still needs to be baby proofed!

Six Months Old!
Sofia & Ian turned six months old on June 3rd. In recent weeks, they are getting very close to crawling. Both will get up on their hands and knees, then rock back and forth; Sofia especially. They are able to scoot backwards pretty easily, just not forward. Ian has been babbling more lately, using D's & B's (see video below). Of course I think he is saying Dadda:)
The Water Babies slideshow was from this past weekend when the kids had their first swim in a pool. After curiously wondering what the water was all about, both of them took to it and had a lot of fun; thanks in part to the aunts and uncles around to play with them.

We started this blog to make it easier to share the kids development with our friends and family; especially those that do not live very close. We will try to keep this update to date without going overboard.
